I love teaching technology, and this year I started using a green screen. At the beginning of the year we used blue butcher paper as our "green screen" and it worked! You can use blue or green butcher paper as a backdrop for your green screen. I also use the Green Screen App by Do Ink which was $2.99, but well worth it. It is an easy to use app to create incredible green screen videos and images right on your iPad.

Little by little I started expanding and getting our set up. I bought an adjustable stand, softbox lighting and a 10 ft Chromakey green screen backdrop on eBay for about $130. I love photography so I did not mind spending that extra money. Below is a link to a few Chromakey Backdrop Kits if you are interested.

iMovie is used in iPads and Mac laptop. A group of students work on the movie highlights of the week and another group works on the main news video on the Mac laptop where they add the after effects. YouTube has been of great help to find and learn more about green screen after effects.
